It was a pleasure to revisit this school, after four years, to refresh their prospectus. Beginning at the end of the summer term of 2021, I spent a couple of days capturing the school: sunny, bright, and the walls full of the year’s hard work, and hoping to return in September to shoot the front cover with the much anticipated, new adventure playground that was due to be built over the summer holidays. Going back to finish the photography I discovered that the playground hadn’t been built, and instead there was a hole in the ground, right in front of the school! The worldwide wood and lorry driver shortage, and the pandemic had meant the playground project had to be delayed. Challenge on! The front of the school is so lovely that we decided to feature it again on the front cover, but this time with summer leaves on the trees instead of the Autumn tones of the previous book.

With a book in which to feature pupils, teachers, achievements, and new school facilities - such as the new outdoor library and edible garden - Walnut Tree can provide prospective and current parents with a genuine and up-to-date insight into the school.
